压电理论和声波理论的深入研究为各类声波器件技术的发展提供了前所未有的机遇和坚实基础，也为学术交流和与快速发展的压电器件行业的互动创造了崭新的机会。随着在压电理论研究上的日趋活跃，压电器件产业的多元化和快速繁荣，我们将面临更多来自于产业界实际技术难题的学术交流方面的需求。在2004、2006、2008、2009年成功召开第一、二、三、四届会议的基础上，中国力学学会、中国声学学会和IEEE UFFC分会将于2010年12月10-13日在福建省厦门市举办压电理论、声波理论及其在压电器件中的应用方面的研讨会，主要议题范围包括但不限于：
- 压电理论Theory of Piezoelectricity （包括微纳米压电理论）；
- 声波理论（表面波、体波等）Bulk and Surface Acoustic Waves；
- 压电器件设计与分析（谐振器、传感器、换能器、MEMS\NEMS\Nano压电器件等）Piezoelectric Devices；
- 压电材料（陶瓷、晶体、薄膜、微纳米等压电材料）Piezoelectric Materials；
- 超声技术Ultrasonics；
- 压电器件的加工与制造技术Manufacturing Technology of Piezoelectric Devices (包括微纳米材料与器件的制造与制备技术；
- 振荡器、滤波器的设计与制造Oscillators and Filters。
我们热情邀请国内高校和研究机构的研究人员参加会议并交流理论研究的成果，更欢迎来自压电器件生产企业的技术人员和领导来交流产业界的实用技术和产业发展的趋势和战略，共同探讨如何促进压电行业的产学研的密切结合。我们也特别鼓励这些领域的专家学者提出并负责组织专门分组会议。会议将以特别注册费等形式鼓励在校学生和研究生参加。

Advances in the research of the theory of Piezoelectricity and Acoustic Waves have provided essential foundation and new opportunities to device technology and have been fostering academic exchanges and interaction in the piezoelectric device industry. With the increased research activities in piezoelectricity and acoustic waves and recent fast growth in piezoelectric devices, we are also facing many technological challenges from real engineering applications and product design and manufacturing. Following the successful SPAWDA 2004 in Ningbo, 2006 in Hangzhou, 2008 in Nanjing, 2009 in Wuhan, Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and the Acoustical Society of China have decided, also with industrial support, to hold the SPAWDA 2010 at Xiamen University, Xiamen, Fujian, China in December 10-13, 2010. The conference topics include, but not limited to,
- Theory of Piezoelectricity;
- Bulk and Surface Acoustic Waves；
- Piezoelectric Devices(including MEMS/NEMS/Nano piezoelectric devices)；
- Piezoelectric Materials (including micro- and nano- piezoelectric materials)；
- Ultrasonics；
- Manufacturing Technology of Piezoelectric Devices;
- Oscillators and Filters。
We cordially invite researchers from universities and laboratories to present their theoretical and experimental findings. We are also interested in hearing from engineers and management of the piezoelectric device industry to talk about new products and business trends, thus creating the opportunities to promote the close cooperation between research and product development. The conference proceedings will be published by World Scientific for worldwide distribution. We also invite our fellow researchers to organize focused sessions. The SPAWDA 2010 will encourage the participation of students by offering the reduced registration fee.
